Overview of the Surrogacy Process
1. Setting up a consultation
2. Filling out the Intended Parents’ application.
3. Matching with a desired surrogate is the next step when you have any viable embryos available. This includes reviewing potential qualified surrogate profiles and setting up meetings via video chat to meet with the surrogate of your choice.
4. Signing the retainer with us. We will help you set up an Escrow Account, and your initial deposit will be made directly to you trust account within 7 days.
5. The surrogate will undergo a background check and obtain medical and psychological clearance.
6. Reviewing the surrogate’s medical insurance. You also can receive a consult with a professional insurance broker if you needed.
7. Signing the surrogacy contract with your surrogate is the next step. A licensed attorney drafts the surrogate contract; consult with both the intended parents and the surrogate. The final surrogate contract is signed and notarized by both parties. Then attorney issues legal clearance.
8. The second deposit will be funded within 7 business days to your trust account after signing the legal contract.
9. The surrogate will start the Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycle according to your IVF clinic treatment policy. FET will take place once the surrogate lining is ready.
10. Pregnancy blood test will be done in 10-12 days after the FET. If the surrogate is successfully pregnant, she will get paid starting from heartbeat confirmed by the ultrasound.
11. The surrogate will be monitored by your IVF Clinic until ten weeks gestation once she is pregnant. Then she will graduate from the clinic to an OB/GYN until delivery.
12. Intended parents will obtain the parents’ rights document around 28 weeks of surrogate’s gestation
13. Welcome the newborn baby. You will expect to arrive in the US at least 1-2 weeks before the surrogate due date.
14. Assisting with obtaining birth certificates, social security numbers (SSN), DNA tests, passports, travel certificates, and a vaccination card.
Overview of the Egg Donation Process
1. Phone Consultation
A consultation can be considered the first step that an egg donor recipient will have to go through. To get the consultation, you must seek the assistance of a reputed healthcare service provider. During the consultation, you will be provided with a better understanding about the fertility journey. Then you will be provided with emotional assistance to adjust to the process of receiving eggs given by a donor.
2. Education of every step associated with the egg donor process
Education and informative decisions can make the experience of using donor eggs much smoother. The decision you make to include the help of an egg donor can be a sensitive one. We acknowledge that many of the families who make it to this step have spent thousands of dollars, undergone multiple IVF cycles, and have been through the emotional journey associated with failed treatments. Knowing the steps will ensure you know what to expect.
3. Look for a reputed egg donor agency
How can you look for a woman who is willing to donate her eggs? That’s where egg donor agencies will be able to assist you. If you research, you will be able to find many egg donor agencies, however they may not be able to provide you with the personalized and quality assistance that you deserve. We guarantee to meet your expectations.
The egg donor agency should always assign you a dedicated case manager. Your case manager will assist you in finding an appropriate donor. Usually the process of finding an appropriate egg donor will be completed within a period of two weeks. Keeping in constant contact with your case manager and providing details of features and traits you would like in your egg donor will ensure your egg donation process is handled effectively and efficiently.
4. Take a look at the legal issues that may arise when working with an egg donor
It is VITAL that you pay attention to the legal aspects involved in getting the assistance of an egg donor. When you are working with Clover Conceptions, you don’t need to worry about it because we will take care of all the legal matters on your behalf.
5. Have a clear understanding about the expenses
Recent studies have shown that most egg donor recipients spend an unnecessary amount of money throughout this process. It is important for you to have a clear understanding about the expenses associated with the egg donation process. The average cost of egg donation is between $20,000 and $45,000. The specific amount could vary based on several factors such as the clinic you select, the region in which you live, and the compensation amount requested by the egg donor.
6. Success rate of egg donation
Finally, you need to have a clear understanding about the success rate associated with egg donation. The success rate can vary from one agency to another; therefore, we recommend you get in contact with your clinic about their specific success rate. We recommend that you can compare the success rate of multiple egg donor agencies. Usually, the egg donor agencies that are engaged with a large amount of third-party cycles have a higher success rate when compared to others.
